Bagamoyo safari package is a six day safari to one of the fascinating combination of natural beauty and cultural heritage (The Tanzania President -Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete-home town) Bagamoyo is one of Tanzania’s most attractive towns, with a considerable charm belying its past, the town combines splendid natural beauty with a significant cultural and historical heritage. The curved, fine white-sand beaches, fringed by swaying palms, have been formed over thousands of years by the wind and waves of the Indian Ocean.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Arusha to Dar es salaam
Early breakfast in Arusha then at 6.30 am you leave Arusha with a public bus to Dar. Most likely you will arrive in Dar late afternoon, our representative will be there waiting to take you to Peacock hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Dar es salaam to Bagamoyo
Here you will be picked and transferred to Bagamoyo and check in at millennium sea breeze resort, where you will organize for your lunch and having a lazy afternoon relaxation, we recommend dinner and overnight at millennium sea breeze resort.
Day 3: In Bagamoyo
Free days in the land of historical heritage where there are many activities to be done like sun worshipping, swimming and snorkeling, you can explore the lagoon and mangrove forest, a sunset dhow safari to nearby sand islands and the coral reef, or a visit to the nearby historical site in Bagamoyo. Also available activities include tennis, water massage pool, beach-volley court, mountain bikes, archery, darts, ping-pong, table football, windsurfing, boats and equipment for diving and snorkeling.

Bagamoyo being a slave and ivory port, It was also a German headquarter in 1891. Explorers such as Burton, Speke, Grant, Livingston and Stanley all passed in this town. If you decide to visit these sites for tour @ person may pay $ 15 to $ 20. You may wish to organize this once you are there.
If you may opt to visit the founding of the Catholic mission, the church was built in 1868 and is considered to be the first church in East Coast of Africa. A cemetery, where the early missionaries were buried and a small shrine which was built by Freed slaves in 1876 @ person pays $ 15 only.
Museum, It is a small museum, which Bagamoyo history in relation to its contact with foreigners. It has old photographs, documents and relics from slave trade. On the same compound there is a small chapel known as Anglican Church of holly cross. The church is famous for being a place where the remains of David Livingston were laid before being taken to Zanzibar en route to Westminster abbey for burial. Day 6: Travel back to Arusha
After breakfast start your journey from Bagamoyo, proceed to Airport for your flight back home.
